The hot new 2010 5 Series offers drivers a combination of luxury, sporty feel, and family-friendly safety. The technology for this year's model is, of course, more refined and improved since last year, if that's possible. Trim levels for the new 5 Series include the 528i, turbo-charged 535i, and powerful 550i. The 550i features a 360 hp 4.8-liter, 32-valve V-8 engine coupled with rear wheel drive. The 528i and 535i come with either rear wheel drive of xDrive all-wheel-drive, which feeds power to both axles as the situation requires and automatically adapts to the terrain you are driving on. Aluminum double-pivot front suspension, front and rear subframes, and 4-link integral rear suspension help to cut down on vehicle weight. The 5 Series also has front and rear anti-roll stabilizer bars, twin-tube gas-pressure shock absorbers, and dynamic stability control, which can recognize the onset of a skid and quickly stabilize the vehicle.
