I would like to let you know about my experience with respect to my recent purchase of a 2005 330ci convertible. While this is a lengthy letter, I felt it was important to write it since most people only write when they have a complaint (including myself). However, I would like to let you know what an outstanding team of individuaIs you have working at your dealership. I had been looking for a preowned convertible for a while. I came across your vehicle on autotrader.com on Monday January 24 and sent an email on Monday evening inquiring of the vehicle.
I would like to let you know about my expereince with the members of your team who I dealt with:
Rich Anger
Rich Anger called me the following morning and arranged for me to come down Tuesday night to look at the vehicle. We talked for a while on the phone about the vehicle and my budget as I did not want to drive down and waste my time or his time.
I came down to look at the vehicle and drive it on Tuesday night January 25 and was delighted to see that Rich was not exaggerating when he said the vehicle looked and drove like a new car. There was no question in my mind that I wanted the vehicle after driving it and seeing it. My only concern was it was a little more than I wanted to spend. I explaind this to Rich and he was very professional and understood where I was coming from. We ended up settling on a price where we split the difference between the asking price for the vehicle and my intial offer.
I thought this was very fair to both parties and it was one of the more pleasant experiences I have had in negotiating the purchase of a vehicle as Rich was very professional, low key and did not try to push me into a sale. I find care salesmen who try and hard sell a cusotmer a complete turnoff and usually walk away from them and the dealership. Rich was just the opposite; polite professional and a pleasure to deal with.
Nick Beekman
Nick took me on the test drive and spent a significant amount of time answering all my questions. He was very patient, polite and professional and took plenty of time to answer all my questions. On the day I picked up the vehicle Nick spent significant amount of time with me going over all the features in the car and made sure I was comfortable with everything before I took possession of the vehicle. I appreciated Nick taking so much time with me.
Church - my ride to the dealership
I am not sure if I have the spelling of this gentleman's name right or in fact his correct name, but my ride to the dealership to pick up the car fell through and Rich made arrangements to get me transportation from Warwick. The gentleman who picked me up - I thought his name was Church or something similar was very polite, sociable and a pleasure to speak with. I had a most enjoyable ride from Warwick to Newport and he was right on time picking me up - actually 15 minutes early. He was an extremly nice person.
Bill Woodcock
Talk about a small world - when I saw his name on the dealership web site, I wondered if it was the same Bill Woodcok I grew up with in Warwick. I had a feeling it was - after all, how many Bill Woodcocks are there. Sure enough when I met him on Friday morning we recognized each other immediately and we certainly did enjoy spending time catching up since we had not seen each other in over 30 years. Obviously, it was great to see Bill and he too was a gentlemen, professional, polite and well organized with all documents prepared and ready to go.
It is also obvious that the dealership takes great pride in making their preowned cars seem like new vehicles. I can not tell you how impressed and delighted I am with the way this vehicle looks and drives. It is in aboslutely impeccable conditon and the fact that brand new tires were put on the vehicle shows that you truely are serious about selling only the best preowned vehicles.
You have a very professional team all of whom made this vehicle purchase one of the more enjoyable I have had. All of these folks are a credit to your dealership and I look forward to seeing them in the future.

Beginning to end, this was a dream transaction. Having been disappointed by another dealer who had ordered the wrong car, we turned to BMW of Newport and Joanne Monize for help. Joanne persisted mightily until she found the car we wanted (a rare 2010 x5d) in the color we wanted, with all of the equipment we wanted. With the help of her manager, she negotiated a 3-way trade to get the car from a dealer in Connecticut. A colleague picked up the car during the holidays. The shop prepped the car perfectly, and we took delivery in time for the $4K diesel credit on top of an otherwise very attractively priced deal. The finance department beat the best rate and terms I could find, and the service manager dropped me a note to welcome me back (I had purchased two other vehicles from BMW of Newport a few years ago). My Review of BMW of Newport: Just picked up my new 335i coupe. I waited almost 3 months for this car, and it came in PERFECT!!! Joanne is by far the best sales rep in the world. I can't say enough good things about BMW of Newport. This is my second BMW from them and it definitely won't be my last. Everything was ready when promised, Richard took my lease turn in quickly and without hassle, Joanne was ready and waiting for me, and Michael was there behind the scenes making sure everything went smoothly.
